I have to begin with WOW!

This week I went to view an exhibition at Craft Victoria by the super amazing and talented Eddy Carroll. To share my experience I have to put it in context of my day.

It was the first real wintery day in Melbourne, so the first time I have ventured out with my boy in such weather. When I finally packed everything and dressed him in so many layers he could barely move, we, mum, myself and Jack, jumped on the train and headed towards the city. Before exiting the station I fought with the rain cover for the pram and got out our umbrellas. By the time we walked to Craft Victoria our umbrellas were inside out but at least Jack was dry and then came the stairs! Turning the corner into the gallery of Eddy’s exhibition was immediately worth the marathon it felt like we had just run.

The intricate beauties we were presented with featured a wealth of delicate needlework, sequins and beads all shimmering in our direction, put all of the mornings events into oblivion.

This current exhibition Glimmer of wild patience focusses on the Inuit Skeleton Woman myth. You are subjected to hearts, skulls and bones just to name a few, a subject matter that Eddy manages to portray in a sensitive, charming and elegant manner.

Gorgeous viewing!
